Day 114 - A Golden Sunset and Final Night in Cefalù, Sicily
Our final full day in Sicily was slow, simple, and perfect. After a windy morning by the beach we headed into Cefalù for sunset, wandering medieval streets, eating pizza by the ocean and finishing the night with gelato under the cathedral lights.
Day 113 – Planning Fatigue, Sicilian Pastries, and a Colourful Beach Afternoon
After days of planning fatigue, we finally lock in the next stage of our journey from Sicily to Puglia. Along the way we discover traditional Sicilian pastries, build rock forts on the beach, and reflect on life without tablets while worldschooling our kids.
Day 112 - Slow Days, Beach Time and Planning the Road Ahead
A quiet day in Sicily filled with schoolwork, beach time and travel planning as we try to figure out the next stage of our journey from Bari to Lake Garda.
Day 111 - Getting Lost in Cefalù
A day exploring Cefalù in Sicily including a hike up La Rocca to the castle ruins, wandering medieval streets, beach time with the kids and navigating Sicily’s famously chaotic driving.
Day 110 - Beach Glass and Slow Living in Campofelice di Roccella
Our first full day in Campofelice di Roccella was spent running along the waterfront, hunting for colourful beach glass, swimming in the chilly Mediterranean and ending the evening with a driftwood fire by the sea.
Day 109 - Driving Across Sicily: Giardini Naxos to Campofelice di Roccella
Day 109 of our worldschooling adventure saw us drive across Sicily from Giardini Naxos to Campofelice di Roccella near Cefalù. A scenic inland route around Mount Etna, winding mountain highways and our first taste of Sicily’s northern coastline.
