Day 36 - Boxing Day Goodbye: Leaving the Forest Hub for Neon Nights in Da Nang

Day 37 of our worldschooling adventure was a big one. After 20 unforgettable days at the forest hub, we packed up, said emotional goodbyes, survived flight delays, and landed in a neon-lit Da Nang just before midnight. From water pistol pool fights to airport drink vouchers and a surprise Brisbane encounter, it was a long but memorable Boxing Day travel day.

Day 15 was another slow, steady day on the island. Morning exercise, Rosie reading a book, more banh mi runs on the scooters, and a lazy afternoon by the pool. We wrapped the night watching Chris Hemsworth’s Limitless and talking about resilience, pain, and mindset while also navigating sibling tension and the challenges of worldschooling on the road.

Day 10 - Power Outages, Banh Mi and Market Chaos in Phu Quoc

Day 10 on Phu Quoc brought a full island blackout, crystal-clear water at Ông Lang Beach, pork noodle soup overload, and total chaos at the Duong Dong night markets when the power suddenly cut out. Generators fired up, Banh Mi was devoured mid-blackout, and we discovered the island’s subsea cable had been damaged. One of those wild travel days you’ll never forget.
